Discusses his plans for the evening and the next day. Initialled from S.P. With accompanying envelope addressed to Miss Phelps at 420 Camden Road, London. A note (in another hand) on the back of the envelope indicates that the letter was written to Phelps' daughter shortly after the death of his wife. The envelope is postmarked 1868 May 26.
